As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:

I am thankful for you, because I know God has given you giftedness by His grace for His glory!  Since this is true, you are an integral part of the body of Christ represented as the membership of Foxworth First.  Your investment in the Kingdom of God is one that reaps eternal benefits!

Each and every single thing we do is to be done unto the Lord, in His strength, & for His glory!  And this benefits each of us – it is for our good!  As each of us serve in the areas of our giftedness, King Jesus is magnified in Foxworth, and we can grow in love and service unto one another as we are encouraged to stay the course.

There is just no way around it – a call to follow Jesus is a call to service!

A joining together with the church is a commitment to serve the Lord through the church:

  • to serve one another in Christ-like love and generosity and avail ourselves to mutual accountability...
  • to serve the community with the love of the gospel and practice care for the well-being of those around us (where God has sovereignly placed us!)...
  • to serve by sending and going and sharing (here, there, and yonder!)...

What we do matters.  What you do matters.  And what we (or you) fail to do matters.

Soon, you will see a nominating report from our committee.  Between now and then, they will be seeking individuals who are led & gifted by the Holy Spirit to serve in different roles in the life of Foxworth First.  You may hear from them.  You may not.  Regardless, here is my challenge for you:  begin right now (if you haven’t already) seeking the Lord concerning the areas in which He would have you serve. 

Every single member of His church here at Foxworth First has been brought into this place and is being led by Him to utilize the giftedness He has given for His glory.  The question is not “will you serve?”  The question is “will you submit yourself to the Lord’s will?”

One way you can assist our Nominating Committee is by communicating your willingness and desire to serve.  Give one of them a call...or shoot them a message, and let them know you are prayerfully seeking where the Lord would have you serve.
